Introduction

Cheonghak-dong Cherry Blossom Festival is held around the time when cherry blossoms of the beautiful Mt. Bongnaesan start to bloom. The festival originally started as a small town festival in 1998 as a way to unite the residents but every year, more visitors came to enjoy this messenger of spring after a long winter and now the festival has become a learning and participatory spring flower festival of Yeongdo.
