Introduction

Taejongdae was named after the 29th king of the Silla Kingdom (57 BC-AD 935), King Taejong Mu-yeol (Kim Chun-choo) who is said to have enjoyed shooting arrows in this beautiful place that boasts thick pine trees and magnificent cliffs.
Taejongdae can be said to be even more famous than Yeongdo as people who might not know where Yeongdo is usually know Taejongdae.
You can get on the Danubi Train here, get off wherever you want, enjoy the food and even observe the Japanese Tsushima Island at the observatory if the weather is clear.
This is also one of the most popular places where people come to see the first sunrise of the new year.
Also, if you visit here in May, you can enjoy the Hydrangea Festival with your family, friends and loved ones.
